City Council set to vote on land swap deal to secure Great Wolf Lodge

EL PASO, Texas - City Council could take another step on Tuesday to bring an upscale convention center hotel and water park to El Paso.

City representatives are scheduled to take a vote during their meeting that would allow a land swap between the city and a company overseen by billionaire businessman Paul Foster.

That land swap is part of a deal to open a Great Wolf Lodge in Northwest El Paso.

ABC-7 has reported that the city land that's being traded is in Northeast El Paso and is appraised at $18.6 million.
