The most-asked question Hillary gets is, "What time do you wake up?"   The answer?  "You don't want to know!"

Dubbed the "Queen of Morning News," in El Paso, Hillary Floren has been waking up viewers on the award-winning Good Morning El Paso show since 2002.  Even after all these years, she admits she's not naturally a morning person!   Before taking on the early morning hours, she spent 3 years anchoring the weekend evening news and reporting.

Each weekday from 4:30 to 7 am, she and co-host Mauricio Casillas wake up morning viewers with headlines, weather, traffic, and a smile!

"Our morning team is a special group.  We are all unnaturally sleep-deprived, but we have one goal: we want to be the station everyone turns to for the information they need to start their day.  And we like to make it fun!"  She also focuses on reporting positive news every chance she gets.

Hillary is active in the community and often emcees events, but not matter how important they are, her favorite crowd is always the elementary-aged one, who seem to have the most interesting questions.    A former Miss New Mexico Teen USA, she often hosts pageants and spends time mentoring young girls.

Before joining the ABC-7 team, Hillary produced at KOAT in Albuquerque, and anchored and reported for KRWG, the student-run station at NMSU in Las Cruces.

An advocate for children, Hillary's weekly segment called "Education First," received the National Service to America award for making a difference in the community.  Good Morning El Paso has racked up dozens of awards over the years including "Best Newscast" numerous times.

The proud mother of five little ones, Hillary and her husband Tom don't have much spare time!  Her favorite ways to relax are weekend getaways, going to the movies and of course spending time as a family.
