EL PASO, Texas - A man was killed after a shooting outside an Upper Valley bar Sunday night, according to the El Paso Police Department.
Police identified the man shot and killed as 37-year-old Ruben Narciso Ramirez. The alleged gunman was identified as 29-year-old Josue Rojas Jr.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of Flip's Neighborhood Bar at 1071 Country Club Road just before 11 p.m.
Police said the bar's manager, identified as 30-year-old Bryan Scott Melendez, escorted Rojas Jr. out of the bar after an altercation. As Rojas Jr. was being escorted out of the bar, Ramirez assaulted Rojas Jr., who allegedly took out a gun and shot Ramirez, Melendez and a third victim identified as 33-year-old Emmanuel Calderon.
Police said Melendez and Calderon were hospitalized, but are expected to recover.
Police said Rojas Jr. fled the scene of the shooting, but later turned himself in to investigators at the Westside Regional Command Center.
Rojas Jr. was charged with Aggravated Assault and booked on a $60,000 bond, police said. His arrest photo will be released later. Police said Rojas Jr. could face additional charges once the investigation is completed.
