A StormTRACK Weather First Alert has been lifted for New Year's Eve and into New Year's Day.
Though it will be cold, ABC-7 Chief Meteoroligst "Doppler" Dave Speelman said most of the weather dynamics will be weakening as the evening proceeds.
The area could see some flurries tonight and some wind gusts around 35 mph up to about 6 p.m., but nothing too significant.
Tonight's lows will be below freezing around 28, and it will feel colder with wind chills in the teens.
Most of the rest of this week will be cold, with highs in the 40s and low 50s, and with overnights in the mid and upper 20s.
