LAS CRUCES, N.M. - An art exhibit featuring the rich heritage of New Mexico's Native American tribes and pueblos as well as fashion sculptures are on display at the Dona Ana County government center.
Seventh grade students from the J. Paul Taylor Academy Charter School spent several months researching tribes and pueblos from New Mexico and were asked to write formal research papers on their chosen group.
The students also created watercolors as part of the overall exhibit.
Students from the Hatch public schools have also installed two sculptures of life-size dresses made entirely of recycled materials.
The exhibits are currently on display on the second floor rotunda of the government center located on North Motel Boulevard in west Las Cruces.
