An undertaker in Beverly Hills was driving a dead body to a funeral Monday when she died on her way to the ceremony.
The woman, whose name was not released by Beverly Hills police, was founded "slumped over" in the driver's seat of the hearse around 3 p.m., according to the Associated Press.
Police said the woman appeared to have died of natural causes, though a coroner will complete a final investigation into the cause of death.
The woman was found in the hearse near the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to the report.
The Beverly Hills police did not immediately respond to requests for comment today.
The Los Angeles Coroner's office would not release information about the woman, whom they said was in her 50s and African American, until her relatives are notified.
