Things to do in the borderland over Labor Day weekend

There's plenty going on in the borderland over the holiday weekend.

The Sun City Music Festival gets started Saturday. More than 30 DJs will perform on three stages. Headliners include David Guetta, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Carnage, Showtek, and W&W.

If rock is more of your thing ... head over to the KLAQ barbecue going on Sunday at Western Playland. Halestorm and Aranda will headline that festival.

If you'd like to try out some wine this weekend, be sure to go to the Harvest Wine Festival in New Mexico. More than 16 wineries from all over New Mexico will be offering wines of all flavors. This will be held at the southern New Mexico fairgrounds, just west of Las Cruces. If you have kiddos that are too young for wine, there are events for them too.

Saint Anthony's Bazaar is also getting started this weekend. Visitors can enjoy games, live music, savory food and drinks. The bazaar continues to grow -- they now have carnival rides out in the parking lot. It lasts all three days of Labor Day weekend. It's located at Saint Anthony's Seminary, on Hastings Street in Central El Paso.

The historic Plaza Theatre will be showing free screenings of Disney's "Frozen" Saturday. The showings are at 1 and 4 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters and enter the costume contest for a chance to win exciting prizes.
