Texas woman accused of shooting, dismembering boyfriend

BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) - Police say a Houston-area woman has been arrested in Louisiana and accused of shooting her boyfriend and using a machete to dismember him and dump the body parts in Texas.

Baytown police say 30-year-old Cierra Sutton of Baytown was being held Monday on a murder charge. Jefferson Parish sheriff's online records show Sutton was held without bond in Harvey, Louisiana.

Police say Sutton is charged with killing 32-year-old Steven Coleman. Court records indicate authorities believe Coleman was shot and dismembered in mid-August at a Baytown apartment after the couple argued and he fell asleep.

Sutton later reported Coleman missing.

Police say formal identification was pending on male body parts, similar to Coleman, later found in a Baytown landfill.

Online jail records don't list an attorney to speak for Sutton.
