Shots fired at Northeast home investigated by police gang unit

Police respond, discover numerous bullet casings on street

EL PASO, Texas - The El Paso Police Department's gang unit is investigating a shots fired call from early Wednesday morning in Northeast El Paso.

Police say that the suspect approached a residence in the 5600 block of Mickey Mantle at 3:02 a.m.

The suspect then allegedly shot several rounds towards the residence, striking the home and a parked vehicle.

The suspect then fled the scene.
