Parkour athletes say the goal of their obstacle course race is to make it from point A to point B as efficiently as possible.
Parkour was founded in France in the 1980s.
It has inspired other exercise disciplines as well, such as freerunning, where runners attempt to express themselves while "running without limitations."
Parkour and freerunning made their way to a Santa Teresa park, where a Hollywood stuntman from Los Angeles who grew up in El Paso, Gabriel Nunez, teamed up with friend George Shunia.
They hosted an event called "Jam El Paso 2014" at the Sunland Park Skate Plaza.
Their goal is to raise awareness of their beloved sports.
Nunez says he left El Paso and moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to "chase a dream."
That move has paid off.
He has been a stunt double for many famous actors, including Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Collin Farrell, and Jason Stratham.
