Las Cruces, NM - Police arrested a Las Cruces woman suspected of breaking into a home on Boston Drive Tuesday morning.
Alaynah Trinks, 27, was charged with a fourth-degree felony count of breaking and entering, and a misdemeanor count of concealing identity.
Just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to a reported breaking and entering on the 1800 block of Boston Drive. A caretaker of the property found a woman inside the home, called police, and pursued the woman as she left on foot.
Officers were able to locate the woman on Corbett Drive. However, she initially gave officers a fictitious name and date of birth, but was subsequently identified as Trinks.
Investigators have found that the residence had a broken window and that Trinks was seen inside one of the bedrooms.
Trinks was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where she was initially being held without bond.
