EL PASO, Texas -

Minerpalooza is dubbed the biggest party on campus at the University of Texas at El Paso and Friday night will be no exception.

The 26th annual pep rally and festival is expected to draw thousands to the UTEP campus for a night of live entertainment, a kids play area and activity booths.

UTEP officials said 20,000 people attended Minerpalooza last year.

Minerpalooza started as a small invitation-only alumni picnic at the center of campus and has transformed into an El Paso tradition.
