El Paso Police are looking for a man that stole a large amount of cash from a Mission Valley Restaurant.

Officials said a man took an envelope containing money to a restaurant called the Lunch Box on October 29. The restaurant is located at 667 N. Carolina.

The man then accidentally left the envelope at the business counter, after paying for his food and exiting the business, police said.

According to officials, another man at the restaurant then took the envelope and claimed it was his. The second man left the restaurant moments before the victim returned to retrieve his envelope.

Police said the envelope contained $6,000.

The suspect is a white or Hispanic male, 50-60 years old, between 5 foot 5 inches and 5 foot 9 inches, according to a release from police.

The release describes the man as 160 to 180 pounds, wearing a gray sweater, black shirt, and light brown pants.

The man was driving a light colored 4-door car, police said.
