A man who was involved in a SWAT situation Saturday afternoon is now in custody.

According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, it all began as a traffic stop near the intersection of Melody and Mesa Grande around 1 p.m. The paper reports a deputy with the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office fired his weapon at some point during the incident.

ABC-7 still does not know who was hit by that shot or the name of that deputy or the man who was the subject of that traffic stop. ABC-7 reached out to the Las Cruces Police Department but have yet to hear back.
