Fire starts in Lincoln National Forest

EL PASO, Texas - A forest fire reported about 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lincoln National Forest. 

Forest officials tell ABC-7 the fire is currently about 10-15 acres in size and is called the Bensen fire, located 3 1/2 miles west of the Sunspot Observatory.

This is near High Rolls and Oliver Lee State Park. 

The cause of the fire is unknown.

The vegetation on fire is ponderosa pine, grasses and juniper.

No structures have been affected and the fire is zero percent contained. 

The fire is on national forest land and is about a 1/2 mile from private land. 

Oofficials tell ABC-7 firefighters are mobilizing with two forest service engines enroute.  One hotshot crew is enroute as well as one air tanker.
