President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at The Ohio State University on May 5, the school announced Wednesday, becoming the third sitting president to deliver a commencement address at the school.
Obama has visited the Columbus, Ohio school at least five times, including on May 5, 2012, for the first campaign rally of his re-election campaign. His most recent visit to the university was in October for a campaign rally in the important battleground state.
Presidents George W. Bush and Gerald Ford also delivered commencement addresses there; George H. W. Bush and Walter Mondale delivered commencement addresses when they were vice presidents.
The university has approximately 43,000 undergraduate students and a total enrollment of 63,000.
Obama will also speak at the spring commencement at Morehouse College in Atlanta, the college announced over the weekend.
