El PASO, Texas - Police said 59-year-old Elizabeth Cline, of Edmonds, Washington, is the woman who died after a rollover on Transmountain.
The collision, involving two vehicles, happened at Transmountain and Gateway South shortly before 11 am Tuesday.
Police said an investigation revealed Cline was driving a 2010 Ford Ranger eastbound on Transmountain and ran the red light at Gateway South.
At the same time, 52-year-old Cady Wenefrenda was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup southbound on Gateway South.
Police said Cline struck Wenefrenda's vehicle with her Ford Ranger. The impact caused the Ford Ranger to roll and come to rest against a concrete barrier, police said.
Paramedics transported Cline to University Medical Center for treatment of injuries. She later died at UMC.
Wenefrenda was not injured, police said. This is the 37th traffic related fatality of 2017 compared to 46 during this same period in 2016.
