EL PASO, Texas - One man is in custody after his vehicle allegedly struck and killed a woman Wednesday morning in West El Paso, according to an El Paso police officer at the scene.
It happened on the 2800 block of N. Stanton at around 2 a.m., just two blocks away from the Cincinnati Entertainment District, where people were celebrating Madri Gras.
Police have not identified the victim or said if she was on Cincinnati St. prior to her death.
The victim's body was on the scene for hours covered with a sheet.
Investigators were also taking photos of a black Chevy Avalanche that may have been the vehicle that hit the woman.
