UPDATE: Dogs dumped in landfill ready for adoption

Seven Labrador puppies received medical care

EL PASO, Texas - UPDATE: ABC-7 has learned from the owner of Doggie Do Overs animal shelter that seven Labrador Retriever puppies abandoned in a landfill are healthy and ready for adoption.

D. Sanders sent pictures of the pups to ABC-7, saying, "They are doing great."

Sanders said the two male and five female puppies will be available for adoption on Monday, July 24 at the Far East Animal Care Center at 2240 Joe Battle Boulevard from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Call (432) 940-4612 to make an appointment. Sanders said the adoption fee is $50 and the money will go towards the dog's vet bill.

An animal shelter in Dell City needs financial help caring for seven puppies that were abandoned in a landfill.

D. Sanders, the director of Doggie Do Overs, sent ABC-7 photos of the Labrador mixes, who she said were left to die. 

Sanders said all of the puppies are in need of medical attention and are being treated by a veterinarian in El Paso.

The dogs are expected to be released from the vet next week.
