Chihuahuas come back to beat Las Vegas, 10-9

The El Paso Chihuahuas came back from a 7-0 deficit to beat the Las Vegas 51s Sunday, 10-9. The bulk of the scoring came in El Paso's seven-run sixth inning, which started with five consecutive hits. El Paso's Jake Goebbert, Jace Peterson and Tyler Greene each had two hits and a home run. The Chihuahuas split their second homestand and now have an 8-8 record at Southwest University Park.

Trailing 7-0, El Paso got on the board with Greene's solo home run in the fifth. The eleven-batter sixth inning rally included a two-run double by Peterson, a sacrifice fly from Jonathan Galvez, an RBI double by Greene and a two-run, pinch-hit double by Cody Decker. The seven-run rally was the most runs El Paso has scored in an inning and completed the biggest comeback the Chihuahuas have had to date.

The wild game saw El Paso come back three different times. Sunday's sellout was the 14th in 16 Chihuahuas home games.
