(CNN)--Plans are under way to transfer Malala Yousufzai, the Pakistani teenage activist shot by the Taliban, to a hospital in a different Pakistani city, three military officials said Thursday. Authorities intend to transport Malala from the military hospital in Peshawar where she is at the moment to a hospital in Rawalpindi, said the officials, who declined to be identified because they were not authorized to speak to the news media about the matter. One of the doctors treating Malala had said earlier Thursday that she was in a "critical" condition a day after surgeons removed a bullet lodged in her neck.
