Teen mom pushing baby in a stroller struck by car
Police said they are searching for a driver who hit a teenage mother and her 1-month-old baby boy and sped off.
Around 3 a.m. Saturday, Jalissa Jones was pushing a baby stroller, with her son inside it down Pierce Street when police said a motorist hit the pair.
According to police, Jones was knocked-out from the impact and woke up to her son, lying next to her on the street.
Jones was able to flag down a driver, who drove her home where medical assistance arrived. Both Jones and her baby were taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
Saturday evening, Jones was in stable condition and her baby was in serious but critical condition, said police.
