Grammy-award winning rapper and actor Ludacris will perform at Fort Bliss on June 1 as part of the C*A*M*M*O’S Mission One Voice Festival Series.

Tickets will be available sometime in May, according to Fort Bliss Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Dana H. Pittard. The general wrote about the upcoming visit in his weekly Fort Bliss Monitor column.

Ticket prices have not been announced.

The music festivals benefit U.S. military members and veterans, including the National Guard and Reserves, with a unique combination of music-based therapy, outreach and development.

This is the fifth consecutive year for the tour.

“I look forward to the opportunity to perform for the troops and their families,”  Ludacris said in a news release. “This should be a time of reflection for us to appreciate what they have done to keep us all safe and what their families have sacrificed by being separated from them. C*A*M*M*O’s Mission One Voice, through their work with Family Morale Welfare Recreation (FMWR), helps to keep families together by providing entertainment and other activities. I want to thank C*A*M*M*O and Mission One Voice for doing what they do,” he added

Scheduled festivals will take place on June 1 at Fort Bliss and June 8 at Fort Irwin in California, with many more dates and artists to be announced.

Ludacris is working on an album that will be released this year. He also will appear in Fast and Furious 6," out in May.
