El Paso Police officer on bicycle hit in Downtown

EL PASO, Texas -

A witness says a female El Paso Police officer was on her bike along Stanton headed towards Paisano when a gray colored Ford Focus hit her.

That driver is believed to have been turning on the intersection from another street and he hit her.

Officers at the scene said the female officer was taken to the hospital  but that's she's expected to be OK
    

Officers could not say if anyone will be cited or who was at fault.
