EPPD: Teen commits crime because he saw it in a movie
Two off duty El Paso Police Officers observe a teen writing on various traffic control signs and a traffic light box as he walked along the 6600 block of Edgemere.
The officers, a 6 year veteran and 10 month probationary officer, observed 17 year old Miguel Lujan as he walked away from the scene to a nearby Walmart where he entered the store. The officers, after calling for on duty assistance, followed Lujan into the store.
Responding officers located Lujan in the men's department where he was arrested without incident. Lujan stated that he had committed the crime because he had seen it in a movie called "Fast and Furious".
