County Judge Veronica Escobar's statement on accusations of wrongdoing

Below is a statement by County Judge Veronica Escobar.

"The implications in the court document are false.  I have led the charge to reform and improve county government and restore trust in our local entities. I am proud of my record and of my outspoken opposition to unethical conduct in government.  After all of my efforts in this community, I refuse to allow a desperate attempt by a criminal defendant to ruin the progress that my colleagues and I have made for the County."
