Joey Carrera

Joey Carrera is from Phoenix, Arizona, but has lived in Saudi Arabia, Seattle, Paris and Dubai.

He's excited to be joining us in Sun City!

Joey graduated in the top 15 percent from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and was named Outstanding Student of his graduating class.

He anchored and presented weather for Cronkite News, the award-winning news division of Arizona PBS, in addition to reporting as a multimedia journalist.

During his time on Cronkite News, Joey reported live from the Democratic National Convention, and conducted notable interviews with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and Mexico's Secretary of Foreign Affairs Claudia Ruiz Massieu.

Joey joined KVIA as a multimedia journalist in January 2017.
