Mark Niethamer is an El Paso native and a graduate of Burges High School and Texas Tech University. As Mark Ross, he worked in El Paso radio and television for nearly 30 years. He may be best known as the host of the high school quiz program "High Q", a job he held for 14 years. Before coming to ABC-7, Mark spent 10 years as a producer, anchor and reporter at KTSM.

Mark also lends his time and talents to Academic Decathlon and other community outreach efforts.
