The Texas Workforce Commission has released the latest employment numbers for the Upper Rio Grande Region.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is now 10 percent, as predicted according to TWC, but the area gained 900 jobs. The unemployment rate is lower than the U.S. but higher than Texas.
The unemployment rate for the Upper Rio Grande Region has not reached double digits since June of 1999.
