EL PASO -- Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized 268 pounds of pot during four seizures at international ports of entry Wednesday.

As a result of one of the seizures, CBP officers arrested a 68-year-old Isela Rivera Puga, a resident of Juarez. She was allegedly driving a 1995 Ford Contour loaded with pot, officials said.

A CBP drug-sniffing dog helped lead CBP officers to 40 bundles full of pot, which were concealed in a secret compartment in the car's roof. More than 45 pound of pot were inside the bundles, officials said. Puga is being held at the El Paso County Detention Facility.

CBP officers also made three additional drug seizures Wednesday, including a case where a woman was arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle drugs inside her car. Her father and son were in the car during the alleged smuggling attempt. Officials did not say if the father is facing charges.
