EL PASO, Texas -- Sentencing for Fabian Hernandez will go on for at least another day. Last week Hernandez was found guilty of two counts of capital murder for shooting his estranged wife and her boyfriend to death in 2006.

On Tuesday the defense called on a Dona Ana County corrections officer who testified that Hernandez mostly stayed out of trouble when he was serving time for a manslaughter charge in the early 90's.

However, she also said Hernandez lost some visitation and work release privileges when he tested positive for cocaine after a visit home.

Jurors will decide whether Hernandez faces the death penalty or life in prison.
