EL PASO -- Police crash a motel party in northeast El Paso and arrest eight people with pot, officials said.

Police investigators said the smell of pot led officers to the room where the party was being held at the Colonial Motor Motel, which is located at 8709 Dyer. Inside the room, they found alcoholic beverages and 40 grams of marijuana.

Police arrested Samuel Reynosa, 19, of the 5600 block of Waldorf; Adam Ortiz-Ramos, 20, of the 10600 block of Pisces; Eduardo Ruiz Jr, 18, of the 9700 block of Patton; Khyrie Flowers, 18, 5800 block of Vanguard; Jonathan Lee Hees, 18, of the 10700 block of Onyxstone; Samantha Lopez, 17, of the 9900 block of Agena; Jaclynn Hylo, 19, of the10000 block of Imperial, and Francisco Cardiel, 17, of the 5700 block of Middlesboro.

All are charged with Possession of Marijuana under Two Ounces and were booked into the El Paso County Detention Center under a $300 bond.
