EL PASO, Texas -- A U.S. citizen who was shot in Juarez was transported to Thomason Hospital early Monday morning, Customs and Border Protection officials confirmed.
The man was brought to the Bridge of the Americas by a Mexican ambulance and at 6 a.m. he was transported to Thomason Hospital by an El Paso EMS ambulance, according to emergency radio.
The victim's condition is unknown at this time. It is unknown whether the shooting was related to ongoing drug violence in Juarez, as details of the shooting have not been disclosed by Mexican authorities.
