EL PASO, Tx - Thousands of Borderland residents showed up for El Paso County's Democratic Convention on Saturday, that was just as chaotic as the caucuses on Super Tuesday.

Around 9:30 Saturday morning, an hour and a half after doors were supposed to open, more than four thousand people still waited outside to attend the convention. Organizers were only letting prospective delegates in by precinct number.

One attendee told ABC-7, "It is kinda chaotic...it's not a little disorganized...it's a lot disorganized. They could have done so many things so much differently."

Another prospective delegate told ABC-7, "As long as I get in, I'm a delegate. I don't know what's taking so long ...really."

Once the crowd had been let in, some 4200 attendees were then told the group would be narrowed down to less than 200 who will head to the state-wide convention. The long, drawn-out process will divvy out the final 67 delegates Texas has to offer to Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Aside from the caucus delegates to be assigned, 126 delegates were awarded at the end of election day.

The latest numbers from Saturday's democratic conventions had Ms. Clinton with 1,270 Texas delegates, or nearly 41%.  Mr. Obama had 1,858, equaling 59%.

The numbers represent only 141-of-280 state-wide conventions, so numbers are expected to change as more results trickle in over the next few days.
