EL PASO, Tx. - Another El Pasoan is killed over the weekend while fighting the war in Iraq.
Friends and family of Specialist Anthony Bradshaw tell ABC-7 they received a phone call early Sunday morning notifying them that their loved had died from wounds he suffered from a roadside bomb.
Specialist Bradshaw was part of the 3rd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division Stryker Brigade Combat Team stationed in Ft. Lewis, Washington.
One close friend of Specialist Bradshaw said just days before his death, his family left messages on his MySpace page about a care package they were sending him and his twin brother, who is also serving in Iraq.
Joshua Garnica, another close friend says everyone who knew Bradshaw will miss his outgoing and adventurous personality.
"It's just a shame to know that someone who just turned 21, his life is over. He made the ultimate sacrifice for everybody," he says.
Specialist Bradshaw and a group of his friends joined the military after graduating high school in 2003 with hopes of returning and reuniting after their tour of service was over.
