El Paso International Airport wants to remind passengers to arrive at least 2 hours before departure this holiday week.
The airport says the early arrival time is important in order to account for the security screening process handled by the Transportation Security Administration.
Passengers should review the TSA's 3-1-1 liquid policy for carry-on bags when going through security checkpoints. Airport Ambassadors and the checkpoint will distribute zip-lock bags for the convenience of passengers.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urges people to travel only when they are feeling well.
In addition, the CDC encourages people to get vaccinated for the flu, especially if they are in a priority group. People should wash their hands often and cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their sleeve.
