EL PASO, Texas -- AC/DC came to town Sunday night playing to a sold out audience at the Don Haskins Center. The rock band has been electrifying audiences since 1973. Sunday's concert was the first for El Paso fans in 21 years.
"They're just legends. They're AC/DC," said Sam Gover. "We just grew up listening to it with our parents."
The group's concert sold out in just four hours, something almost unheard of in a town that's notorious for having residents walk up late to ticket centers. But for many fans, they were just grateful the band took its tour to the Borderland.
"We were all surprised when we saw them in El Paso. We're like, 'we gotta go'," said Rebecca Palamarez.
Other fans said they would just like to see more high-caliber bands come through the area.
"I'd love to see more of the big bands coming through," said Robert Stone. "We've had a few, like the Rolling Stones, but we need some more, definitely."
