SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A contractor at a Texas juvenile treatment center has been fired after authorities charged her with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy who escaped from the facility last week.

San Antonio police arrested Thelma Nicole Miles Tuesday night and took her to the Bexar County Jail under a $10,000 bond.

Miles allegedly picked up the youth after he escaped Oct. 28 from the Hector Garza Treatment Center which is operated by Abraxas, a Texas Youth Commission contractor.

An arrest warrant said the pair were sexually intimate until Nov. 1.

The teen's father told TYC authorities and Miles and the teen admitted to the relationship.

Abraxas spokesman Charles Seigel said Miles had been terminated.

A call Wednesday night to the Bexar County sheriff's office wasn't immediately returned.
