EL PASO, Texas (AP) — A funeral will be held Friday for a West Texas policeman who died after an off-duty beating while trying to stop vandalism to his personal car.
A teenager has been charged with capital murder in the Sept. 25 attack on El Paso police Officer Jonathan Molina. The 29-year-old former Marine suffered a fractured skull and brain damage. Molina died Oct. 5.
Another teen has been charged with evading arrest in the attack in which Molina confronted three people after his car was keyed.
Burial is planned at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
